WOMAN IN CHAINS by Isabella Jordon

When Mia Emmerson’s father died with out a will in place, her cousin Edward took over her father’s estate and became her guardian. Edward was cruel and jealous of her beauty so he sold her to a French brothel. She had no hope for escape unless her friend, Lord Claythorne, would realize that she was missing and come to her rescue.

Lord Claythorne did indeed figure out where Mia was, but he sent Anthony Montford, the fourth Duke of Ashton, but better known as a pirate, to her rescue. Anthony, in exile due to incidents in his past, took up the young Lord on his offer as a rescuer for hire. It appealed to his pirate nature. He figured he’d sample some of the brothel’s wares then run off into the night with the damsel in distress. What he didn’t count on was being captivated by Mia’s beauty and spirit.

Even though she is now free of the brothel, Mia still has nowhere to go. Her cousin still hates her. Lord Claythorne cannot marry her and she will not accept his proposal for her to be his mistress. When Anthony suggests that she place her fate in his hands, her body longs to say yes. But can she trust a man who’s been a pirate and accused of murder?

What do you get when you combine a dastardly cousin, a sinfully handsome pirate and a damsel in distress? The recipe for the enchanting and fast paced book WOMAN IN CHAINS. Mia’s spunk and wit make her an even match with Anthony’s wicked ways. Isabella Jordon can write a spicy sex scene with the best of them and WOMAN IN CHAINS is no exception. Ms. Jordon just keeps getting better and better. You can chain this reviewer up anytime as along as a hero like Anthony is there to save the day.
