In a clear and easy to read manner, Author Vonette Bright brings us guidelines to be the women God means us to be. Unlike some ‘do-it-yourself’ spiritual growth books, this one uses illustrations, dialogue, as well as scripture, to help the reader understand what it means to be the woman GOD wants us to be and how to achieve that.,
In addition, Vonette challenges us to not be a generic Christian woman, but to seek God’s insight into the real us. God crafted each of us individually, gave us talents and spiritual gifts unique to our personality.
In the 80’s when I surrendered my life to the Lord, my husband used Campus Crusade for Christ illustrations to help me understand what was to come. In fact the throne clock is one I still use today. Vonette has a nice section in the back of the book with all sorts of these illustrations. Her life with Campus Crusade founder, the late Dr. Bill Bright, gives her plenty of experiences to share with us, which she graciously does.
I read this book quickly, but I will go over it again, and again. It’s like having a good friend sharing bible truths with me. This is also her intention. The book is part of the Sister Circle series.
The Sister Circle series is a wonderful series written by Vonette and Nancy Moser. It chronicles the life of one boarding home owner and her tenants (the Sister Circle). This is a nice addition to the novels.
Whether you are a new believer, or a long time believer, I know this book will help strengthen your walk with the Lord. In today’s world we need all the help we can get!
