Tired of
human-interest stories, all that a cub reporter was allowed at the Io Moon
Times,
Sadie Thomas resolved to write
the next award-winning expose. Taking
all her vacation time at once, she journeyed to Titan, going undercover
in the
most notorious prostie-brothel in the system.
The barely legal prostie-borg industry had spawned
the brothels as what
prostitute would complain about the work when they had the minds of a
ten-year-old in their synthetically created brains. For the rough
miners of
Saturn, who rarely if ever saw real women, the prosties were perfect. So, Sadie thought she’d expose the industry
to everyone and had nearly enough information for the article when her
bargain-basement Overlook-me chip failed, seems now she’s going to find
out
exactly what the industry is like in personal detail.
A tandem
unit for Old Earth Vice, Detectives First Class David Blakely and
Christian
Holtstein came to the prostie-palace to find leads on a case. They were following the trail of a
mind-raper, people who steal the brains out of normal men and women to
implant
them into prostie-bodies. What they
didn’t expect was to find a lovely young woman who set both of them on
edge and
neither could resist.
Tandem Unit is a grand sci-fi
adventure romance. From strange alien
encounters to futuristic science to wild sex, it’s all in there. Blakely and Holt are heroes to die for, alpha
males with a sensitive side. Bound
together by the tandem chips implanted in their skulls – they feel each
other’s
emotions, share each other’s memories, and share the same desires. Yet that’s not all they share, the chip makes
it impossible for them not to share the same woman.
Still there’s only a one in a million chance
that they’re ever going to find one who can handle the intense pleasure
their
bond creates when they share her. Enter
Sadie, a spunky heroine with a repressive upbringing, who wants what
they offer
but is afraid to reach for happiness.
This
reviewer thoroughly enjoyed Tandem
Unit’s
wild romp about the solar system. Written
in the same grand style as the old
sci-fi novels, this is a page-turner
from the start rushing to an emotional climax
that’s wonderfully beautiful. I can’t wait for another
book by Ms.
Anderson to appear.
