Graham Peck has taken his family and fled to the north woods of Wisconsin to hide from the Mayor of Chicago. The malevolent authorities want to use technological devices to destroy Graham and his family.
For a time, everything seems quiet in the north woods. But now, the world seems to be going insane. Unexplained natural disasters are occurring. Wars and famines are breaking out. A group of New Seekers, an underground church, has been teaching that the world is beginning the Tribulation.
When Graham’s daughter disappears, the family turns from running for their lives to trying to find their daughter before she is killed. Will they be able to locate her before time runs out?
TAGGED is not a book for the squeamish. At times I found it very hard to read; the characters were frightened by the events occurring—and so was I. This is not a book I’d want to read alone at night. I wanted my family around me and the lights on—inside and out—when I picked up this book.
The characters are not very well-developed, and the author didn’t really give us time to connect with any of them. Chapters were very short and focused more on description of the surroundings than on what the characters were feeling. It also tended to be written in the omniscient point of view—the reader was able to know what each character saw.
If you are looking for a good, well-written book, this is not the book to
pick up. If you don’t mind the “rules” being broken consistently, and
want a book along the lines of Left Behind then you will enjoy TAGGED.
