Snow Moon is one out
of six individually
published short stories that originally appeared in the anthology Phantasmagoria. These stories were the
most talked about from the anthology and the publisher has released
each of the
six for reader’s individual pleasure. Each one has a paranormal twist
on
familiar situations.
A
scorching hot one-night stand has lasting consequences for Heather.
She’s been
infected – not by a sexual disease, but by lycanthropy! The new
werewolf must
figure out what’s happening to her, and decide if her one-night stand
might be
more meaningful than she originally thought.
This
was an enjoyable read that ended much too soon. The premise of the
story is interesting
and the reader is engaged immediately. Ms. Hawke makes very good use of
description; the way smells, setting, and the physical transformation
into a
werewolf are described all work together to create a vivid picture.
