Rachel
Wainwright wants more out of life. Feeling as though her life is at a
stand still,
Rachel begins looking into new interests and finds herself hooked into
the BDSM
lifestyle which she found on the internet.
Rachel’s curiosity and desire to experience the
lifestyle are just the
first of many life-altering occurrences in her life. Married for
twenty-five
years to an abusive man, Rachel finally realizes her marriage is over.
When Rachel
meets Rafe Donovan, the man who will be her master, Rachel discovers a
whole
new world in which she longs to exist in.
The Rebirth of Rachel
has only just begun…
The Rebirth of Rachel is an interesting and
insightful
look into a woman’s life that hasn’t been easy, nor what she has
wanted. Rachel
is unhappy with her life and while I didn’t agree with some of her
decisions in
the beginning, Ms. Poff still caught my attention with Rachel’s
struggles. The BDSM lifestyle is explored
nicely and
openly in the pages of this story.
My only
complaint is how quickly Rachel and Rafe began having sexual relations. For this, I was left frowning and rather
surprised. Rachel didn’t know Rafe well and they had met on the
internet.
Fiction or not, I feel that the fast-paced jump into each other’s arms
was
unrealistic and it stuck with me throughout the story.
Most females, even males would be more
cautious of who they are meeting the first time, especially when it is
someone
they only knew online. While many
successful relationships have started out like this, I still found it
rather
quick that within mere moments, they were having sex with one another.
But,
Christy Poff is an author who is becoming a great writer, one who I
hope to see
more from in the future.
