In 1970 Russia, in the coldest depths of the Cold War, Nadia and Mickey have to decide what is real and what is lies. Two CIA agents who defied everyone with their love, have been separated when Mickey is sent to a
Russian Gulag and Nadia goes home, pregnant and alone, to America.
Nadia’s death defying jail break to free Mickey begins a manhunt with Nadia and Mickey afraid to trust anyone, including each other.
Downs and Warren create such a vivid picture of cold and cruel Russia, that you can feel the
bitter winter winds. But they also bring to life characters even in that bleak, Communist stronghold, who are firm in their patriotism, dedicated to justice and have an unshakable heart for God.
Although the paranoia is so thick you can slice it, Downs and Warren have a special love for Russia and they find the beauty in that harsh country.
Nadia and Mickey’s fight for life turns them firmly toward God as they learn that no Iron Curtain is strong enough to keep out God.
