Beth
Parks, famous and high-priced lawyer, wants justice and equality for
werewolves
living among the human population. Ethan Masterson is the pack leader
and is
determined to keep the peace, even if that means taking care of a
certain
lawyer out to make trouble.
Full Moon Rising is a short
book and its
easy reading style made it almost seem shorter than it actually was.
Beth is a
strong and interesting female character through most of the book but to
me, Ethan’s
character only seemed to touch the surface and wasn’t fully developed.
The
one issue I had with the character of Beth was during the first time
she goes
all the way with Ethan. During the love scene her dialogue and actions
are
straight out of a porn movie. Submissiveness is one thing, but this
part made
me roll my eyes. I
was also disappointed the book never explains Greta’s (a minor
character who
affects major change in the story) reasons for her actions in the book.
I felt
that Beth and Ethan’s past wasn’t explored enough either.
Warning:
Although it is used as a term to describe female werewolves and not as
a
derogative, some readers may feel uncomfortable with the use of the
word
“bitch” throughout the book.
