Artist,
Destiny Carlton is ready to grab on to life and let destiny take her
wherever
it wants to. For years Destiny raised
her orphaned nephew’s and now that they are all grown up, she is ready
to
obtain the hopes and dreams she’d put on hold. Destiny transforms into
a tough,
savvy businesswoman who is hell-bent on getting revenge on William
Harcourt,
the man she once loved. William has gone after her family’s business
for years,
and Destiny will be damned if she’ll let him get away with it.
William
Harcourt wants the Carlton
business and won’t let up until he has it. William never expected to
come up
against Destiny Carlton after so many years and while he wants to win
her
heart, he finds himself in a corporate battle of high stakes and of the
heart.
Destiny’s Unleashed…is William Harcourt man
enough to
handle this woman’s wrath?
As a
long-time fan of author, Sherryl Woods, I was pleased, yet disappointed
with Destiny Unleashed. I
was pleased to see another book available
by Ms. Woods and the heroine, Destiny was a vibrant and endearing
character who
I enjoyed immensely. The drive and
excitement of Destiny brought fun and enjoyment to the reader as the
pages
turned.
However,
William was disappointing for me in some ways. Twenty years ago when
Destiny
had to rush home and care for her nephew’s, William made all the
arrangements
for her to do so, all the while waiting for her to ask him to go with
her. Now this is a couple who had been
together
for three years. In my eyes, William should have automatically made
arrangements to go back home with Destiny and not expect to be asked. Now, two decades later and his age around
fifty, William has played a game for that long, in hopes of Destiny
returning
to him. Going after her family’s
business for twenty years seems rather obsessive and immature for a
successful
businessman, which left this reader questioning the realism of his
character.
However my
feelings for William, I still enjoyed Destiny
Unleashed because of Destiny and the bond of family with which
Ms.
Woods wrote wonderfully about. This
story has been added to my Sherryl Woods collection, which I know I
will pull
out and read again someday.
