Officer
Jessie McQuade is a woman who won’t let anything stand in her way of
discovering
the evil that is stalking the citizens of
Miniwa, Wisconsin. People are disappearing, they are being found
in the woods – dead of brutal and horrific deaths. One evening at a
crime
scene, as she is combing the woods for clues, Jessie encounters a naked
man,
who she later learns might just be her only hope of finding out who, or
what,
stalks their town.
Professor
Will Cadotte is a Native American activist who Jessie believes knows
more than
he is telling. He invokes too many feelings in Jessie, even ones she’s
unfamiliar with, yet she can’t help but accept his help and hope that
she’ll
uncover his secrets before its too late.
Jessie also
realizes that Miniwa, Wisconsin
isn’t as innocent as she thought. As the
secrets unfold, no one is safe, no one knows whom to trust and the next
full
moon is fast approaching…
Intense,
captivating and darkly seductive are the only words I can find to sum
up Lori
Handeland’s, Blue Moon. Just
when a reader thinks they have it all figured out, Ms. Handeland
surprises us
and keeps us guessing. Jessie McQuade – I loved her!
She is an amazing heroine who a reader can’t
help but root for, laugh with and love everything about.
Jessie kicks butt, takes names and lives on
in a reader’s mind long after the story ends.
Ms. Handeland writes a tale that paranormal readers,
as well as those
who love thrillers and romantic suspense stories, can enjoy. Blue
Moon has it all, and it’s an edge of your seat adrenaline rush
the
whole time. And let’s not forget Professor Will Cadotte. (As if I
could!) The man is sexy and very intense!
He gives
Jessie a run for her money and shows the vulnerabilities within her. Will stands toe-to-toe with this tough chick
and it’s a sight to watch everything unfold within the pages of this
story.
The Road to
Romance Reviewer’s Choice Award is given to Blue
Moon by Lori Handeland for the great intensity, danger, drama,
captivation and stellar writing. Ms.
Handeland is a paranormal/suspense author I don’t plan on missing any
releases
from. Blue Moon is one of the
best I have read from this genre in a long while. I
hope to see another Lori Handeland tale on
the shelves soon.
