Josie Lee
Allen has returned home to Angel Ridge. She has landed the job
she’s
always wanted, as the Angel Ridge Library’s new Director.
But her job isn’t going to be easy. The town’s
most influential and obnoxious family, the McKay’s, plan to watch Josie
every
step of the way. To make matters worse,
her homecoming is dampened by a pipe bursting in her house. Thanks to
the
neighbourly handyman, Cole Craig, he takes care of the problem and
becomes a
constant thought for Josie in the days to come…
Cole Craig’s
ancestors were one of the founding families of Angel Ridge. But his family had
always been
considered to be of the low class. When
the pipe burst in Josie Lee Allen’s house, he takes it as a blessing as
he has
always been infatuated with her. Fixing
the
pipe is a good reason to be around and he wants to pursue a
relationship with
her.
Josie and
Cole begin a romance that heats up quickly and they enjoy their
friendship and
new beginnings. But the McKay’s don’t take too kindly to this budding
romance and
give Josie an ultimatum that might just change her future. Will love
conquer
all?
Delightful,
simply wonderful. Deborah Grace-Staley
enchants
her reader with Only You. Josie
and Cole make one another feel alive
and good – as they do to their readers.
This is a feel good, true love romance that
captivates and endears the
characters to their audience.
As the
story progresses we learn surprising but good things about Josie and
Cole, that
at first glance, we don’t see right away. Only
You has many characters who give us a feel for
Angel Ridge and the locals add
flavour and
colour to the story.
Angel Ridge is depicted with
vividness and an
aura of the old days of small-town living where everyone knew one
another. The sweet memories of Cole’s
crush on Josie
were eloquently told and remembered, and showed the depth to the man he
is.
Deborah
Grace-Staley shows true romance, how it should be written, felt and
remembered
in Only You. I
hope the next Angel Ridge tale comes along soon. This author has been added to my auto-buy
list!
