Dr. Talia Stevens leads a
quiet,
orderly life as a leading geneticist. She's never the time to pursue
romantic
notions nor given much thought to the sort of research kept her father
so
distant from her and her late mother. She finds out her father's secret
and
many more when she meets Arin McClintock, a soldier from the future
whose
mission it is to make contact with the scientist who invented time
travel.
That scientist is Talia's
father. And in order to save him, she reluctantly agrees to work up
with Arin
so they can discover who's trying to alter significant events at the
expense of
more and more lives. They step through time in a deadly dance that
leaves them
wondering if time will ease their loneliness or if their love is doomed
to be a
moment stolen from their lives.
Ms. Robins' tale of
time-crossed
lovers brings one into their hearts and minds, knowing that sometimes
one must
do things one finds personally painful but are right for the greater
good. Such
sacrifices are those made by a military officer with the soul of an
artist and
a researcher driven to see that others don't suffer as her mother did -
from a
lingering disease that had no cure.
Both Talia and Arin are
willing
to make sacrifices to do what they believe is the right thing, even at
the
expense of their happiness. This gives them a deeper, more human
quality and
makes the poignancy of their dilemma, touching to the reader.
Never Until Tomorrow is a
delightful tale of endings and beginnings. Ms. Robins has brought a
twist to
time travel and the possibilities of finding love by being in the wrong
place
at the right time.
This story is sure to
charm both
time-travel and futuristic fans alike!
