Miranda
Dale is about to transfer to an accounting firm in Chicago. So while out with her
friends she
has a little too much to drink, and decides to do a sexy little
striptease for
a sexy stranger that ends with her bra draped around his neck. How was
she to
know that the sexy stranger would be her new boss? How on earth does
she get
out of this one? No one knows that she supported herself in college by
exotic
dancing, if this gets out her career as a successful accountant with
one of the
best firms in Chicago, is over. To make
matters worse,
she is falling in love with Jack, her boss and the recipient of her
little
indiscretion. What is she going to do now?
Jack can’t
believe his eyes when he meets his new junior accountant. It is the
same woman
that performed a striptease for him in Albany, the woman that made
quite a LASTING
IMPRESSION. She is the same woman that he dreams about nightly and
whose bra he
still has. However, in spite of his raging desire for her, he can’t
even think
about acting on it. At the moment he is faced with completely false
allegations
of sexual harassment from a past employee. If he even shows one hint of
attraction for Miranda, his case could be influenced. Every moment that
passes
his feelings get stronger, the more that he wants her. What is he going
to do
now?
LASTING
IMPRESSION is a humorous tale of repressed lust and raging desire.
Miranda has
spent her entire adult life keeping her college financing a secret. Now
her
secret is threatened when she finds out that her boss is the same man
that she
danced for. Full of sexual frustration, repressed feelings, and sexual
heat,
this one will make a LASTING IMPRESSION on you. Ms. Vye pens a story
that will
have you screaming for them to just get together already.

One
embarrassing moment in time will haunt Miranda Dale for a very long
time. After putting herself through
college by
stripping, Miranda has just accepted her dream accounting job in
Chicago. Although she isn’t embarrassed by what she
did to get her degree, she would prefer to keep it a secret. The night before she leaves for Chicago, Miranda
goes out
for drinks with her girlfriends. She
spots the sexiest man she’s ever seen and after a few drinks and some
sexy
music, she can’t resist putting on a little show for him.
At the conclusion of her performance, she
drapes her bra around the man’s neck as a souvenir to remind him of
what he’s
missing. The next morning she can’t
believe what she did and neither can her friends. They’ve
never seen her like this and think
she needs to expand her social life. She
decides not to worry too much about it; after all, she’s leaving
tomorrow and
will never see the man again.
Jack Steele
can’t believe what happened in that bar last night.
In Albany
on a business trip, he never expected to be treated to a strip show in
a local
bar, but the woman was so sexy and bold and he has her bra to prove it. Jack can’t seem to get her out of his head,
and
since he will never see her again, what will a little fantasizing hurt. When he gets back to Chicago, Jack has to
deal with trumped up sexual harassment charges filed against him by a
former
disgruntled employee, plus train his new Junior Accountant. On his first day back, Jack comes face
to
face with his new employee and low and behold, it’s the sexy stripper
from the
bar in Albany. He can’t believe his luck or lack of it. The woman who haunts his dreams is right in
front of him, but because of the sexual harassment charges he can’t
touch her.
I really
liked this story and I loved Jack and Miranda.
Neither of them can forget that night in
Albany.
They dream and fantasize about each other constantly. Jack knows he can’t pursue Miranda and hides
his powerful attraction to her by avoiding her. Amanda thinks Jack is
avoiding
her because he doesn’t like her and she’s embarrassed over what
happened that
night in Albany. They fight the attraction until it’s
impossible to deny it. Once they give in
to the attraction, look out!! It gets
mighty hot in Chicago.
Miscommunication,
misunderstandings, sexual tension that’s through the roof and fantastic
characters makes LASTING IMPRESSION a great read. Charlotte
Vye does a superb job on this book. She
takes on the sexual harassment issue and
writes it into the story with amazing believability and her facts were
on
target. LASTING IMPRESSION left a
lasting impression on me, and it will you too, so don’t miss it.
