There's something about
his latest target, Peren Matthews,
which has Lukian Vlakhusha, Captain of a unique paramilitary unit,
wondering
about this latest mission. He's entranced with the young woman's
photograph and
it stirred something he'd thought long forgotten.
Lukian aborts the strike
and upon meeting young Peren, he
finds that she's not only quite independent, but very certain of what
she wants
in a man, and what she doesn't. And in the long run, he finds himself
in the
unpleasant predicament of telling the woman he longs to mark as his
mate, that
he's what she fears most: a werewolf.
Will their mutual passion
blossom into something more, or
will it fizzle like a candle in the wind?
Ms. Roth had created an
intriguing hybrid in Peren, and a
worthy mate in Lukian. Both are inclined to follow their hearts, and to
do the
right thing by one another. I was charmed by Peren's spunk and
resilience in
the face of mythic creatures and the revelations about herself.
The chemistry between
Peren and Lukian is enough to melt the
paint off my walls and hot enough to ignite anything else! Ms. Roth has
memorable characters and a setting that's hinting at more than just
Lukian and
Peren's tale.
Immortal
Ops
packs the action of a Hollywood
thriller with the smoldering heat that readers can expect from Ms.
Roth. Put it
on your hot list…and keep it there!
