In a land
where men vastly outnumber the women, three women struggle to make
their
preferences known and only bestowing FAVOR on those that are worthy.
The women
of Castle Bloomingdell are required to give the men favor, which is
honoring
them with sexual relations, in hopes of conceiving children. The man
that
receives favor is the one that wins a contest of sorts. Upon winning,
he will
receive his prize, favor with the woman that is on show. The problem is
that
the women haven’t conceived in six years.
Jewel has
been sent to the Castle to heal the women, and to determine why there
have been
no conceptions. En route to the castle, though, she runs into Mio.
Although she
is disguised as a male, he notices her femininity, and is drawn to her.
He
offers to help her find her way, and keep her safe in exchange for her
FAVOR.
Ara is
tired of having to deal with Ulrich each and every time. She wants
someone new
and different. So she voices her opinion, even though it is against the
rules
for her to do. In order to smooth over her faux pas, she doesn’t have
to submit
to Ulrich, but she gets the next one in line. Quinn is the runner-up
for favor,
and now Ara has to bestow favor upon him, and she doesn’t know which is
worse,
Ulrich or Quinn. Quinn awakens feelings in her that she didn’t realize
were
there, especially when he gives her some special attention…
Maryam is
thirty-seven years old, too old in her mind, to be giving favor.
However, she
is the only eligible one when Ara refuses Ulrich. It turns out that
Maryam is
the perfect match for Ulrich. Together, they heat things up for quite
awhile,
possibly even resulting in that pregnancy that has been nonexistent for
quite
some time.
EVERY GOOD
BOY DESERVES FAVOR is a highly unusual tale. With a futuristic setting,
interesting characters, and some spicy sex, it entices the reader. Mio and Jewel are the perfect example of a
young couple just learning the ropes of sexual activity. While Maryam
and
Ulrich epitomize a couple who are slightly more mature and wise of the
world.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is Ara and Quinn, Ara needs
to be
tamed by a man and Quinn seems to be just the man for the job. I
thoroughly
enjoyed reading this book because of the eccentricity found within the
characterization and the plot itself. Ms. Harte does an excellent job
writing a
story that is eccentric, while tantalizing the reader with sex and heat.
