Cassie and
her friends are excited about going to visit their favorite author,
Mildred
Derby…at least, until they get there. Cassie discovers that she has to
save her
friends, herself, and her newly acquired lover before it is too late.
Or is it
too late for them already?
Mildred is
a famous author with some unusual habits. She keeps handsome, sexy men
on staff
whose services she enjoys regularly. She makes sure that they behave by
giving
them a special tonic, which keeps them to her liking. Edward is her
employee at
the moment. However, once he becomes captivated by Cassie, he might not
be an
employee much longer, he might fall prey to Ms. Derby’s unusual habits…
DINNER IS
SERVED is unusual, to say the very least. It is somewhat disturbing,
and
unsettling. Ms. Kelly delivers a horrific novel that will make you
wonder about
your favorite authors and their pastimes. The characters in this
novella are
creepy and secretive and the plot itself is somewhat spooky. I’m not
sure if I
liked it or hated it. Up until this moment Ms. Kelly had established
herself on
my favorites list because of her sexy characters, steamy sex scenes and
thoroughly interesting plots. Honestly,
the plot was okay, but a little too odd for my liking. The characters
were not
appealing to me, because they were too strange to me to be sexy. The
plot is
absolutely unusual, no doubt about that, but it definitely leaned more
towards
horror than erotic romance. If you’re looking for something a little on
the odd
side, give this one a try. If erotic romance is more your taste, this
one might
disappoint.
