Annie
Markham’s life is in a downward spiral. Her family is heading toward
financial
ruin, not to mention that they are all completely nuts. Annie herself
is
single, lonely, and her life seems to be heading nowhere. Seven years
ago her
meddlesome godmother convinced her that the love of her young life Jake
Mead,
was no good for her, that she should dump him and move on. She heeded
her
advice and ended that chapter of her life, hoping never to see or hear
from him
again. Of all the people to appear to try and save her failing family’s
business, Jake is the last person that she would have wanted to help
them.
However, Jake has arrived to save the day, and the Markham’s from financial ruin.
Now Annie’s
world is upside down and she can’t begin to determine how to make it
right
again. Jake is the last person that could help with that task. He did a
lousy
job the first time of persuading her that he was the right person for
her, can
he do a better job the second time around? Jake quickly learns that
PERSUADING
ANNIE will be the most difficult job that he has ever had to do.
PERSUADING
ANNIE is a quirky, humorous read! Ms. Nathan does a superb job
developing
characters that are amusing, in depth, and loveable in spite of their
many
flaws. They are a family that you love and hate at the same time.
Taking place
in both New York and England, the setting sets the
scene for a metropolitan,
perfectly paced read that will both amuse and intrigue with the twists
and
turns in the plot. Find out if Annie is persuaded or if she really has
learned
from her past mistakes.
