Sally
Sweets is a Madam, and a notorious one at that. She is well known in
Dodge City for her profession and
the girls
that she offers. The only problem is, she is a little too well known.
Her
father is coming to visit and under no circumstances can he learn that
she is a
Madam. So she does what any self respecting Madam would do, she decides
to get
hitched. The most eligible suitor, a comatose cowboy! It’s perfect, he
will
never have a say in her profession or make waves with her father,
because he
isn’t even awake! Not quite so simple. Her “husband” wakes up, and much
to
Sally’s surprise, she finds herself liking the handsome cowboy. He
tries to
convince her to get out of Dodge and leave her disreputable business
behind
her, but Sally’s girls have other ideas. They like the business that
they are
in, and they like their boss, so they do what they have to in order to
keep
things the way that they are. Of course they have to try to break up
Sally’s
happy “marriage”. Now for another
problem, as if Sally’s life couldn’t get any more complicated. Her
“husband”
gets his memory back, all of it. He remembers his past and worse, he
remembers
that he isn’t really married to Sally. Can Sally convince him that they
can be
happy in spite of their unconventional relationship beginning? Or is
their
relationship destined to be doomed?
THE MADAM
TAKES A MATE is a madcap story with more twists and turns than a back
country
road! Sally is an amusing, amazingly modern woman who knows what she
wants and
how to get it. Ms. Wynn creates characters whose charm and appeal
emanate
throughout the pages. The storyline is packed with heat, plot twists
and humor.
Sally’s struggles to hold on to the husband that she didn’t really
want, makes
for an interesting read. Sally has to convince her “husband” that they
are
meant to be together, and that they can overcome the past and its
obstacles.
Moreover, can she keep her profession or will she have to leave Dodge
and her
reputation behind? Join Sally as she
tries to convince her “husband” to give their “marriage” a try. Will
she
succeed or will her attempts at love and happily ever after be left in
the dust
of Dodge City?
