Lysie
steals from the rich, lives by her street-wise cunning wit and has been
running
from her people for years – the feline-like Felys.
The males of her kind have been hunting her,
wanting to capture her for their breeding program.
Why would she want anything to with that
world when they abandoned her when she was young, for being the
smallest?! Now
Lysie robs from the rich to survive.
Until now, she has been a loner and driven to live
life the way she wants. But when she
steals a man’s jewels that are
intended for his mother, she has no idea who she is messing with…
Marten, an
Argon male is a man who never wants for female companionship. He’s charming, handsome, and gentle and loves
women. Well, all except one – a vixen that
steals his jewels, knocks him out and sneaks onto his spaceship is a
thorn in
his side! Not only did she have the nerve to steal from him and she
stow away
on his ship, but she has brought her enemies into his life who attack
his ship and
they have to battle one after another – together.
Stuck with
one another in the heat of battle, through Lysie’s first heat to find a
mate
and in danger, can Lysie and Marten survive everything and each other
too? Can they walk away when it’s all over
or will
they be bewitched by love?
Angela
Verdenius returns with another wonderful installment of her Heart
and Soul series. Book 6, Love’s
Bewitching Thief is fun, exciting and a carefree ride for the
reader.
Lysie is a unique character in this series, which makes a reader very
curious
to lean more about her. Marten is another Argon male who a reader can
lust
after and can’t get enough of. Lysie and Marten are instantaneous heat
and fire
when they are together. Lysie’s race, the Felys are highly charged
sexual creatures
and she proves that fact with her sexuality in this story. Ms.
Verdenius has
always keeper her reader on the edge of their seat when it comes to
stories in
this series. Love’s
Bewitching Thief is no exception to that.
However, a
few times with the ‘rushed’ feel that I got, zinging from one fight to
another,
it was difficult to follow the story in some areas.
While we have plenty of passion and intensity
from Marten and Lysie, I feel a bit more explanation into her race and
whom her
enemies are would have added even more to the story.
I was still asking some questions when the
story ended and was expecting Lysie to have closure from her past, only
I don’t
feel there was any.
Overall, Love’s
Bewitching Thief was an exciting
and intense romance that leaves a reader anxious for more of this great
world
created by Angela Verdenius. I look
forward to more of this series (particularly RED’s story), hopefully in
the
very near future.
