Giselle knew the tall man
in black leather was trouble from
the moment he set foot in the space station dive where she tends bar.
She's
also fascinated by the scar on his face, and finds she can't look away.
There's something
different from the usual ilk of smugglers
and spacers that come through, and Jerred's certain he can purchase a
good
tumble for a few credits, no strings attached.
Then Giselle witnesses a
murder and the enigmatic smuggler
is her only hope for escape. There's just one catch. He doesn't take
passengers
for nothing, and she'll learn what it means to pay "Jerred's Price."
But will he be able to match hers?
I've read another of Ms.
Wylde's Saurellian tales and found Jerred's
Price continues in her tradition of excellence with a feisty gal
who's
quite capable of proving she can keep up with her man. Both struggle
with the
reality of their situation while in the hospitality of a shady fellow
named
Josiah. Though neither is quite ready to face their stormy feelings,
the
tension continues to build like a pressure cooker set to overload.
The story is both steamy
and fast-paced. No matter where it
happens, this reads like a
good action flick with all the sizzle for a summer blockbuster!
