Despite an
innate hatred for a place that had only one season as far as he could
tell, Max
Devlin moved to New Orleans at his
family’s order. He was there for far
more than just a public relations campaign for the Storm Family’s hotel. It was time for the Devlin Dynasty to
expand. Max’ assignment is the South, to
take a mate and lead a pack of his own.
Shannon
Storm hated Max on sight. Or was it
hate? He roused things in her no man
ever had before. Just like the magic of
fall that courses in her veins, Shannon’s
emotions run hot and cold, wild and free, when around Max.
She doesn’t understand the attraction this
arrogant alpha male holds for her.
Officially
the second volume of the Devlin
Dynasty
series, Fall Fury can also
be seen as the second book in the Storm for
All Seasons
series that Ms. Burton recently began. It
was intriguing to see Ms. Burton weave two
vastly different series and genres together in this book.
The clash of two alphas, one male, one
female, gave the story a wild, intense edge that keeps the reader
turning pages
to see who will win the latest argument.
Of course, the make-up sex afterwards is as hot and
intense as you’d
ever wish for. As with the first books
in both series, Fall Fury has a
lively set of secondary characters, in this case the Storm siblings,
though we
meet the remaining Devlins at the beginning.
Once again, I am intrigued by Logan Storm and hope
that his book will be
coming soon. All around, this is one
intense, memorable read, one that will linger in one’s mind long after
the book
is finished.
