A quarter century ago the
colony
ship, the Mayflower, disappeared
without a trace. Now the ghost ship is back and Captain Breanna Delaney
has
been chosen to head up a mission to find out what happened. The
reputed,
"Ice Queen", can't afford the distraction of Lance Corporal Caleb
Sylvaine's presence stirs within her. Lives are on the line as she
leads a
group of militia irregulars on the dangerous quest for the truth.
But the Mayflower
isn't the only one hiding secrets. Caleb's a man with a
past he'd rather forget. If they survive this, if he can crack
Breanna's shield
of self-imposed isolation, maybe he could think about the future?
The troublesome and the
expendable are the rag tag band of irregulars and misfits that have
been chosen
for the mission impossible, and for their own reasons, they're willing
to do
what it takes, or die trying. Breanna's curiosity draws her to accept
the
command, and Caleb is haunted by the Mayflower's
past for reasons of his own.
And the "Ice Queen" is
a challenge he can't resist - cracking her shield and seducing the
woman that
nobody else could touch. He irks her to no end with his irreverence and
blasé
attitude about the regs. He thinks she needs to loosen up and live a
little.
Perfect recipe for disaster—or passion hotter nuclear fusion in the
midst of a dirty
little secret the G-Tech Corporation would rather the public and
civilization
never learn about.
I couldn't sleep until I
found
out what happened, given the fast paced action, suspense and mystery, Endless Night is a keeper! Toss
fuel on the fire with a generous dose of passionate, sensual tension
between a
by-the-book military officer, and an enlisted Marine with a rap sheet
that
reads like an anecdotal misfit used to intimidate raw recruits, and
you've got
a summer sizzler that'll give you a good case of the chills!
