In her dreams, Ella Kent had a body made to make men drool. In reality, she was two-hundred and seventy-five pounds of woman that men ignored. For her thirtieth birthday, she bought a magic potion from a gypsy at the carnival in town. It was a potion that was supposed to make any wish come true for thirty days. Yeah, right. Wondering what she had to lose, Ella downed the potion with the wish that for the next thirty days someone would look at her as if she were someone special, and not Ella Kent the Elephant. As she made the wish, she wished that the someone would be the ruggedly handsome man she’d met--well, he’d knocked her over--at dinner that night.
She hadn’t expected the potion to work but when she woke the next morning to thin and gorgeous in the mirror she couldn’t deny what was starring back at her. When Ian Clayton, the ruggedly handsome someone she’d wished about, tells her that he wants her, she jumps at the chance to live out her dream, if only for the next thirty days. But what happens when those days are up and she turns back into a pumpkin? What she finds out is that things are not always what they seem, and love prevails through it all.
ELEGANT is a must read for any woman who’s ever had identity issues. That would be all of us, right? Isabella Jordan has created two wonderful characters that are the epitomes of the reason woman devour romance novels. Ella’s torment at not loving the outside, but being a wonderful person inside, is something we all can identify with. Ian’s love and sensitivity are all something we wish for in a man. Have a wish or a dream you’d like to be a reality? Read ELEGANT for inspiration, then get to work on it!
