Taylor Reese,
a social worker, doesn’t need a man in her life. The only man she needs
is her
young son, Ryan. Committed to her work,
Taylor tires to protect all the
children
she deals with. One night, tending to
the bruises on the young child in her care, Taylor meets Dr. Gavin Kinncaid
at the
hospital. Feeling instant chemistry
between them, Taylor knows he’s one man
she’ll have to
stay away from. He presents a temptation
her life isn’t ready for.
Dr. Gavin
Kinncaid is tied up in knots over Taylor Reese. She makes him feel
things he
hasn’t felt in a long time and in some ways, he resents her intrusion
in his
life. But the more time he spends with
Taylor and her son, Ryan, the more Gavin wants them to be a part of his
future.
Ryan has
found home when he meets the Kinncaid family. Everything he has longed
to feel –
love, trust and friendship is right in front of him. But he may not be
able to
claim any of it. Ryan has been having visions of strange and dangerous
happenings to come and he is scared.
With each moment, each day that passes, the deadly
closes in…
Out of this
World! Book two of the Deadly series,
Deadly
Ties, was even better than the first, which I didn’t think
could be
done! Jaycee Clark once again expertly crafts romantic suspense with
love and
sensuality and does it extremely well.
Gavin is the second Kinncaid hunk we have met and
only whet’s the
appetite (though very well!) for more of the same sexy men. The instant sparks between Taylor and Gavin
can be felt through one’s computer!
Deadly Ties is a dynamite piece of
fiction where
romantic suspense is written with masterful strokes, dedication and a
non-stop
pace that won’t let a reader take a break. Emotionally gripping
accurately
describes Deadly Ties. Once
the book ended, I couldn’t believe it was over, so I dried my tears and
read
it all over again. Ryan was also a
powerful
character who I wanted to wrap my arms around.
I am
connected with this Kinncaid family now, and can’t wait for more! Jaycee Clark is an author not to be missed,
for great romantic suspense and spice! I
hope the next Kinncaid brother is coming soon!
