Lord Lachlan de Douglas is first-line heir to the Douglas clan, and a noble warrior. There are rumors of war among the clans and the rumors become reality after one of the Douglas outposts is brutally attacked and destroyed, and Lachlan is captured by the manic Lord Rama of Clan Spain. Lachlan is the last of the true descendants from Ancient Earth, and Rama plans to use him as a pawn for revenge.

A futile attempt to draw Rama away from Lachlan proves fatal in more ways than one, and plunges Kimberly and Lachlan into a nightmare filled with betrayal, killer robots, and murder. With all that against them, will Kimberly and Lachlan’s passion and deep rooted love for each other help them find the light at the end of the tunnel? Or are they fated to be doomed lovers?
R. Garland Gray has created a future world filled with amazing technologies yet retains the fundamental element of humanity today, love. Destiny has her work cut out for her in DARKSCAPE, but in the end she prevails, despite the many twists and turns Ms. Gray throws at her. The sexual intensity between Lachlan and Kimberly is so hot and intense it makes you wonder why the pages aren’t burning up. R. Garland Gray has brought science fiction romance to a new level and I hope she continues, not only the Douglas story, but to give us unequalled sci-fi romance.
