Offered a
contract for a magazine article, Calder Burgess needs to infiltrate the
local
BDSM community in search of factual information and first-hand
knowledge. Calling upon an old college
connection, he
manages to get an invitation to a local play party where he meets the
most
infamous local dominatrix.
Kelly,
known as The Black Widow, is in truth a lonely widow ready to
live again
when the right man comes along. As a
professional dominatrix, Kelly has acquired fame and fortune, but not
love and
companionship. Calder completely
enraptures her with his questions, his acceptance, and his refusal to
submit.
Ms. Austin
has written one of the best BDSM erotic romances that I have read in a
very
long time. Not only do you have an
intense romance between Calder and Kelly, but Ms. Austin also takes the
time to
explain many of the concepts, that most BDSM writers assume their
readers
already know. Calder’s secrets, hidden
from a woman whose profession hinders his openness, make the whole
story tense,
leading to a well-deserved confrontation and a surprising resolution. As a reader, I greatly enjoyed this novel,
reading
it twice within days of receiving it. As
a reviewer, I can do no more than give Black Widow my
highest
recommendation.
