Child of the Grand
Rebirth, the
people of her own village consider Riena a demon. Unloved
and unwanted by all save her
half-brother, she is cast out to fend for herself at the age of ten. Her brother manages to convince the king to
provide her with training but at an awful cost. Now engaged to the
Prince, she
would rather run than face marriage to a man who hates her.
Prince Karris expected
his bride to
run, who wouldn’t after the things that his father had put her through. She’d been denied her rights under the law,
kept ignorant of her true place, now he had to find her before his
father did,
even if it meant hiding who he truly was.
But would she still care when she discovered his
deception.
Written in the Stars is a rich tapestry of a
vastly different world. Both the primary
characters and the secondary
ones have their own romantic plots, woven together into a stunning
whole. The world is real.
The romance is real. And
most importantly, the internal conflicts
and growth that Riena and Karris go through is very real.
I truly enjoyed this story and hope that we
visit the star mages again soon.
