Prosecuting
Attorney Maya Jaspers always tries to get her man.
When a fellow attorney is viciously murder,
Maya goes after the victim’s abusive husband. The only real problem is
that
Charlie Tannen is one of her own…a cop who might have been abusing his
power. Certain that Charlie is the
murderer;
it doesn’t take long for Maya to have him behind bars.
But when evidence starts cropping up, thanks
to the opposition, Maya begins to second guess herself. The opposition
comes in
the form of Defense Attorney, Guy Tannen…the accused own brother. Can Maya go toe to toe with Guy in the
courtroom, and resist his attractiveness outside of it?
Guy Tannen
hasn’t had a very good relationship with his brother Charlie, but when
he is
arrested for murder, Guy is ready to take on his case, though
truthfully…with
great reluctance. A childhood of pain,
abuse and betrayals overshadows both brothers, but could Charlie really
be as
vicious as Maya Jaspers makes him out to be?
Is that the only reason Guy takes on Charlie’s case,
to find out for
himself just how bad off his brother is?
Maya and
Guy work against one another, yet together, to find out what really
happened
that fateful night. With murder,
corruption, betrayals, uncertainties and The
Watchman’s Circle, Maya and Guy do all that they can to discover
the truth.
Kerri
Droban is an amazing author of murder, suspense and intrigue. She certainly knows the in’s and out’s of
police procedure’s, evidence and the law.
She depicts all of this with accuracy and with
powerful writing in The Watchman’s Circle. Maya and Guy are tortured souls fighting to
overcome their abusive pasts and the nightmares that haunt them both. They are highly captivating characters whose
strength is shown in full force and are memorable beings.
Non-stop
intrigue and action, realistic characters, believable evidence and
second
guessing until the very end make The
Watchman’s Circle the perfect book for any reader who enjoys
thrilling suspense
that never ends until the very last word is read. Ms.
Droban writes a chilling tale that can’t
be put down once begun. I hope to see more work from this talented
author in
the future.
