Contemporary Romance
THE THING ABOUT MEN by Elizabeth Bevarly

Claire Willoughby, the Nashville star of “Simple Pleasures”, a cooking and lifestyles TV show, is not exactly the happy homemaker she portrays.  The real cooking/lifestyle guru is her silent partner, Olive Tully, who doesn’t like to be center of attention or move in the limelight.  Claire and Olive aren’t ready for the upheaval to their lives when they are informed that their #1 fan was killed in a terrible accident and Claire was named the legal guardian of the woman’s infant daughter, Anabel.  The only living relative Anabel has is her Uncle Ramsey, who no one can locate.  Claire, knowledgeable of the foster care system, objects adamantly to the child staying there and vows to help find the girls uncle.  Hiring a P.I., Claire hopes that Ramsey can be found.  After all, what does she know about family, let alone raising a child?  When Ramsey is found and shows up at Claire’s door with too many bruises to count, Claire realizes he isn’t fit to take care of a child either.

Neither Claire nor Ramsey is parent material, yet they want to do what is right for Anabel.  Can they work together to give the little girl a wonderful life? Will lies and misunderstandings tear them apart?

Fun, entertaining and wonderful romance make The Thing About Men by Elizabeth Bevarly, a must read for fans of contemporary romance.  Claire and Ramsey are absolute delights and adding in the sweetness of Anabel, it makes for a touching story.  These great characters touch the reader, with their pasts and their insecurities, which still play a large part in their lives.

Ms. Bevarly pens fun and great contemporary romance.  I enjoyed The Thing About Men from start to finish.  From the fun to the sweet romance with great characters, this is a story to enjoy!
