Stuck in a world where
females come
into season and are fought over by the males, Khalia Peterson quickly
realizes
that this can be dangerous for a human female who knows no season.
General Damien
Blooddragon, sent to
protect the queen, also discovers the inherent dangers of such a
situation. Dangers that are increased,
as he is no more immune to her charms as the other males he’s trying to
keep
away from her.
With Tears of the Dragon, Ms. Anjou has created a world that
is both
complex and compelling. Draconic
shapeshifters are a rarity, especially with the complexity that she has
given
them. Damien is a multi-dimensional man,
the likes of which I have rarely encountered in a book.
His heroine, Khalia, is a spitfire and more
than his equal. Their attraction is
instant and amazing, and their trials are very realistic. I can’t wait for the sequel.
