Cara Larsen
swore she would never go back to the demeaning and exhausting life of a
stripper. But to pay for her brother,
Joey’s (who has special needs), schooling, Cara is forced back into the
lifestyle and begins working at a club in Reno.
Trying to cope with being on stage again, Cara
struggles to get over a
broken heart as well. Tristan Manseletti
was everything she could want in a man.
He was a good provider, great with Joey, could set
her on fire with one
look or touch and she knew he would make a great father.
But Cara was afraid of their love, of
Tristan’s powers and how powerful they were together. Cara also feared
getting
pregnant and having another mentally challenged child to care for. So Cara walked away from Tristan and the love
she knew would never fill her heart again.
Cara hoped Tristan would never find her and
stripping in Reno, she felt confident he
never
would. Until one night on stage, she
sees Tristan with another woman…
Tristan
can’t believe it. The one woman he thought
would love him forever left him because of her fears.
He’s been desperate to find her, but he tries
to move on with his life without her too.
When he heads to Reno for business, he is
shocked to
begin developing feelings for a woman named Brandy.
Being one of Solaris’ “sons”, who have
supernatural powers, Tristan had been told by Solaris that each of the
sons would
meet their one true destiny, the woman who would complete them. For years Tristan had believed Cara was his
one true love and he couldn’t imagine life without her.
Yet Tristan feels the same about Brandy
too. She brings out all of Tristan’s
hopes for the future, his desires and can’t get enough of her, just
like he did
with Cara.
Has Tristan
been wrong all these years? Is Brandy his one true love or is Cara?
Could there
be something more sinister and powerful at work here?
Readers
will have to get a copy of Sons of
Solaris 2: Taurus to find out!
Jodi Lynn Copeland pens another smashing tale in
this series. The intensity and the
volatile feelings of
Tristan, Cara and even Brandy leave a reader desperately turning the
pages. Every emotion is gripping and I
could feel the energy sizzling through my palm pilot!
Tristan and Cara together are amazing.
A lot of hurt and mistrust needs to be
overcome and with Brandy involved as well, it isn’t an easy journey.
While I
understood Tristan’s confusion and felt for him, I did have a few
moments of
frustration with him over it. But,
Tristan is in no way a let down. His
sensitivity and caring side, especially with Joey redeemed him in my
eyes. Plus the man is sexy as hell, so I
gave him
points for that too! But in seriousness,
Tristan’s indecision might cause readers some moments of frustration
and angst
as it did me, but it didn’t detract from the emotion, excitement and a
reader’s
love for Cara. I liked Cara’s sassy
attitude and she is a very entertaining character. Ms.
Copeland can weave a paranormal tale with great writing and powerful
words. Sons of Solaris 2: Taurus
was exciting, compelling and
leaves me wanting more steamy adventures from this author.
Hopefully I don’t have to wait too long.
