Eight years before,
Isabelle lost her innocence to Jag
Masters in more ways than the obvious. Now, he’s desperate enough to
come to
her for help in seeking out his missing sister and nephew, even if he
doesn’t
believe in her talents. The only question is will his darkness finish
the
destruction her own talents have started, or will he let her redeem his
soul…
As a romantic suspense, Shadow’s
Present is a
wonderful story, full of twists, turns and surprises that you’d never
suspect.
As a romance, it’s lacking some vital connection between Jag and
Isabelle that
would make it fully believable. Their kisses are hot, the anticipation
builds,
but the execution was lacking. I enjoyed the mystery, even if I knew
the ending
ahead of time, but the book itself left me lukewarm.
