Things hadn’t been going quite the way Mara Manning would have liked. The realtors at her real estate firm she’d built from the ground up were being lured away by her biggest rival. Her previous boyfriend unexpectedly dumped her to move to Japan the very next day. She’d just caught her current boyfriend in bed with a woman ten years her junior and to top it all off, she was now lost, driving down an unfamiliar, deserted road in the middle of a sudden thunderstorm. Just as she was about to give up ever finding civilization again, a roadside motel sign was visible through the storm, Rapture Inn.
Erotica, son of Sensualous, from the planet Aeolia had spent five long years searching for the woman who had haunted his dreams. He’d finally found her and called up the storm to guide her to the Rapture Inn, which was a gateway on Earth to other worlds. Now, he must convince her they are meant to be together.
Mara too had had haunting dreams; dreams of a man who would fulfill her every desire. She was shocked to see him at a roadside inn in the middle of nowhere, and even more shocked when he explained who he was and where he was from. Not ready to accept his unbelievable story, yet unwilling to let the man of her dreams out of her sight, Mara agrees to a night of passion with Erotica and a trip to his home world as long as she’s back by Monday. Deceit, temptation, trust, and love await Mara there, but will she survive the trials and follow her heart to a lifetime of passion?
ROAD TO RAPTURE is a highly carnal story of pure passion and love. The bumps in the dating road the heroine, Mara, have been on, ensures that the reader sympathizes with her as many have been down that road. While the creation and exploration of fantasy worlds in romance can be exhilarating, the world and character of Erotica push the sexual envelope. Some readers might enjoy that path, but for me, I’d make a detour from that road.
