For Grant
Sutherland, the job was easy and he gave his word to get it done. A promise made to an ailing man to find his
granddaughter,
Victoria Dearbourne, who was lost at sea nearly a decade ago, Grant is
determined to fulfill. Grant is a man of
integrity, strength, responsibility and will do whatever it takes to
locate Victoria, protect her on the
journey home
and claim his payment of Belmont Court, the Dearbourne
ancestral home and
move on with his life.
But when he
meets the stunning Tori, Grant’s life is forever changed.
His duty to bring her home is more of a
struggle than he ever imagined and his gentlemanly ways are challenged
by his
manly passions. Tori makes Grant feel
alive and his control slips. But for
Grant, a man who would prefer to one day marry a staid, quiet
Englishwoman,
soon finds that maybe an exciting, spunky and fun lady, such as Tori,
might just be
the forever mate for this Captain.
Tori
Dearbourne is not in need of rescuing! Captain Grant Sutherland can
turn his
ship around and leave her be! She enjoys
her life just as it is and doesn’t need a man telling her what to do
and where
to go. Tori is fiercely independent, yet
longs to feel Grants arms around her and be the woman for him. She sees inner pain in him, the tension in
his face that once held laugh lines, but he won’t gracefully accept her
ways or
the passion she offers, which might sooth his tortured soul. Tori is used to always getting what she’s
wants, but is she willing to give any price
for the pleasures of Captain Grant
Sutherland?
Kresley
Cole is back and she’s better than ever!
With the sequel to The Captain
of All Pleasures, which was wonderful, The
Price of Pleasure is outstanding! The
Sutherland adventure this time around is
one of the very best historical romances I have ever read.
Grant is the epitome of all heroes -- a rare
breed of man. (Derek in the prequel was also in the same class act as
his
brother).
Ms. Cole
pens this story with precision, excitement, passion and fire with her
words. A year ago, I relished this new
author’s debut, this time I am savouring this awesome sequel and left
greatly
anticipating her next book. Readers will
want to pay anything for The Price of
Pleasure; it is very much worth it and so much more. Simply…outstanding!!
