Meredith
Madison, a museum historian, takes over her glamorous actress sister's
identity
for a couple of weeks while house-sitting in Hollywood. When an invitation
arrives at
Marla’s, Meredith can’t resist fulfilling the question on the invite,
“Are you
ready for the fantasy of a lifetime?"
More than ready for it, Meredith decides to attend
the party and finds
Prince Charming, in the form of one sexy, Tony Valentine.
But the
invitation isn’t to the party Meredith thinks.
Marla had signed a contract to spend two weeks at
Valentine Studio
Fantasy Acting Camp and be the star attraction. Only Meredith isn’t one
for the
spotlight and is most certainly not Marla, something Tony doesn’t
believe. Meredith’s idea of dressing up is
adding a
bikini top and a jacket to her cargo pants ensemble.
How can she pull off being her twin sister
Marla? Will she be Tony’s ‘star’ when he
realizes that she isn’t who he thinks she is?
Perfect Switch is wonderful! Ms. Plumley brings her readers a contemporary
romance that is full of sensual tension between the characters, humour,
spontaneity and family loyalty. Meredith
doesn’t find it easy being her superstar sister and it’s with great
laughs and
pleasure to see her try to pull it off.
She and Tony were wonderful together and add the
zest to the story. Tony’s family was a
hoot! Their matchmaking advice and ways
showed a
family that while having its ups and downs, they really stick together.
Ms. Plumley
shines with this tale, the sequel to a previous one, Perfect
Together, which I haven’t yet had the chance to
read. But reading the prequel is not
needed, as Perfect Switch was
easy to follow and thoroughly enjoy without reading it.
Colourful characters, great laughs and
amazing characters throughout make Perfect
Switch, the perfect addition to any reader’s keeper shelf. Lisa Plumley is an author to watch out
for…she’s here to stay!
