It had been years
since Lori had given her heart to the dark and brooding Hunter who
served at
their master’s side. She keeps an iron
grip on her emotions as he passes the time with other women. Then a darkness thought vanquished returns to
threaten his life. Lori refuses to lose
him to it, even if it means her own life.
Jonathan has always
longed for Lori. She’s a fire burning in
his soul, yet he
feels she deserves better than him. He’s
damaged by his past and carries darkness in his soul, a darkness that
should
not be allowed to stain her magicks as a Healer. Is
he willing to lose her because of his own
stubbornness?
The Hunters: Jonathan
and Lori bumps us a few years
into the future from the last story we read.
Still, it’s as hot and intense as ever.
Ms. Walker throws unexpected twists in that are
delightful in their strangeness. I can
only hope that she follows up on these
threads in the next novel. As for
Jonathan and Lori, their story is a delightful twisting path with lots
of hot
sex. This book is a wonderful addition
to The Hunters series and as such, should be read in the context of the
other
books.
