She had decided to stay home for Christmas. Her long distance man, Mickey, was coming and she wanted him all to herself. Unfortunately, things don’t always go as intended. Her friend, Megen, found out about her plans to stay home and begged her to let Megen’s son, Arthur, stay with her since he couldn’t get off work to go on vacation with them. Figuring it wouldn’t hurt, she agreed. Only the Arthur that showed up on her door step wasn’t a kid. He was a lean, handsome man and full of questions. It seems that Arthur was having a little trouble with his sex life and he thought that she, being an older woman of the world, would be able to enlighten him. She suggests Mickey be the one to give the education, which Mickey reluctantly agrees to. Mickey soon realizes that in teaching Arthur the finer points of pleasuring a woman, he might have gotten more than he bargained for.
If you’re ever looking for a quirky, non-textbook way to inform your man how to please you, EDUCATING ARTHUR is the book for you. The tutelage from Mickey will have every woman thinking “uh, huh…that’s so true…haven’t tried that one yet”. As a story, though, EDUCATING ARTHUR falls short of the mark. The book is written in a he said, she said type of journal format and the reader is never given the female characters name, just she and her throughout. While at times a storyline ekes out, EDUCATING ARTHUR feels more like a bawdy text book.
