Four years
ago wealthy businessman, Foster Taylor, departed the city of New York, leaving his latest
mistress,
Ashley, behind. Foster was running from
the danger that seemed to follow him and to protect those he cared
about. His one true love, Lynette, was
murdered
viciously while carrying their unborn child.
The murderer was never apprehended and Foster didn’t
want harm to befall
those he cared about. Now living in
Denver, Foster runs his hotel
there, and
living a fairly quiet life. But the day
he walks into a small shop, The Body Apparel, and sees a woman who he
believes
to be Ashley, who he left behind in New York, Foster’s life is
forever changed
with a case of mistaken identity.
Fairly
certain that this woman, who claims her name is Brooke, is really
Ashley,
Foster uses his powerful connections to learn more and wonders why this
woman,
who looks so much like his last mistress, would pretend not to know him. All the while, danger is still lurking behind
Foster. The villain hell-bent on
destroying Foster’s life is back with a vengeance and targets Brooke,
who
Foster has grown attached to. Will
another woman who is only guilty of loving Foster Taylor die in a game
of
revenge?
Brooke
Abel, owner of The Body Apparel shop, traveled to Denver to escape her past. Never in her wildest dreams did she once
think a handsome stranger would mistaken her for someone else, or set
her world
into chaos. Before meeting Foster,
Brooke led a calm, quiet life and was even discussing marriage with the
gentleman she had been seeing. But
Foster shows Brooke what she really wants in life and hopes for a happy
ending. But first, she has to watch her
back, as a murderer is determined to take her away from Foster.
Murder,
betrayal, suspense and love surround the lives of Foster, Brooke and
those they
love.
Set in the 1920s
in Denver, Colorado, Patricia A. Rasey
brings us a tale
of a charming and magnetic man in Foster Taylor, who is sexy as sin and
a
knight in shining armor. Though a murderer is after Brooke because of
Foster,
it doesn’t stop these two characters from becoming very important to
one
another. From their first meeting, which
sets the stage for more of the same volatile and explosive meetings,
Brooke and
Foster sizzle and entertain. The danger
surrounding the couple, which is felt through nearly the entire story,
keeps
the reader second guessing themselves.
Just when I was certain of who the villain was, the
ending arrived and I
was blown away by their identity. I
never suspected the ending result. Ms.
Rasey pens a great historical romance with compelling suspenseful
elements to
her story.
From the
lead characters of Brooke and Foster, to his mother Mabel, his sister
Amanda,
to his best friend Kip, Dark Savior
is elite with continuous entertaining characters, witty and fun
dialogue and
unbreakable bonds. A sinister game of cat and mouse, edge of your seat
suspense, love, loyalty, as well as betrayals, hold a readers complete
attention when reading Dark Savior. An author who always delivers, Patricia A.
Rasey does it once again with her latest powerful creation - Dark Savior.
