When
Sheriff Doug Brewster is called to the scene of a dead neo-Nazi
Christian, who
belongs to the Brotherhood of Freedom, he knows he has the toughest
case of his
career. Most of the men in town are part
of the Brotherhood and will be demanding answers and keeping secrets. Doug is desperate to find the killer, and
realizes that not everything is open and shut.
Especially when Josie Galloway is involved…
Josie
Galloway is a Wiccan Priestess who begins having dreams about a dead
man. Josie wonders about her dreams and
also fears
for her life when she realizes the Celtic mark tattooed on the dead
man, is one
that she has too. Desperate to talk about
her dreams with someone, Josie turns to her best friend, Arden. Only Arden is not the only person
to hear
Josie’s troublesome sleep patterns and her fears. Her
old pal, Sheriff Doug Brewster also hears
what she has to say. Doug soon realizes
that Josie has some sort of a connection to the murder, and he plans to
stick
with her to uncover why, no matter how much she protests.
But working
together 24/7 brings the mutual attraction they both have for one
another
smolders to the boiling point. But Josie
has secrets she has never told anyone, which might just destroy her
relationship with Doug and their future.
Can the murderer be found before they strike again?
T.L.
Schaefer’s writing gets better with each story read.
The
Brotherhood is a fabulous mystery/suspense tale that hooks the
reader
immediately. This is a compelling and
mysterious “whodunit” that shows the real talent of this author. The great chemistry between Josie and Doug is
really felt and brings the reader into their lives.
Josie is a free spirit who makes her own life
and answers to nobody. She believes in
destiny but isn’t’ one to lie down and let life pass her by either.
As Josie
and Doug try to stop murder, Ms. Schaefer intricately adds romance and
bonding
of old friendship gracefully into the suspense.
Ms. Schaefer is an author who continues to pen tales
that thrill
me. The tension, suspense and fabulous
writing
never end when it comes to this authors work.
I hope to read more of her work very soon. The
Brotherhood is not to be missed!
