Derri and Serge Dumont were a blissfully married vampire couple. The only thing missing was a child. Having a baby would be like finding that elusive puzzle piece to complete their lives. Serge’s solution to the problem was to have his older brother Mikhel help by impregnating Derri. Spousal sharing was not uncommon in vampire society, and in fact, it was encouraged. Fifteen years ago, though, Derri and Serge stopped attending those family “gatherings”. No matter how much she loved and adored Serge, Derri had always had a basal attraction to Mikhel that many times had threatened to overwhelm her. It was for that reason they had stopped attending and since, had focused solely on each other. With everyone agreeing to the Mikhel “donation”, Derri reluctantly agrees even knowing she will never be able to turn away from Mikhel again. Will the intensity of their union continue to be non-threatening for Serge and Erica, Mikhel’s wife? If Derri does get pregnant, whose baby will it be; Serge’s or Mikhel’s? Will it matter?
While the story of triumph over infertility can be a heartwarming tale of sorrow and joy, BLOODLUST: ALL IN THE FAMILY is merely a lust fest with hints at a story line. From the first words, sex in the predominate factor in this quickie. In fact, most of the storyline is introduced while the characters are having sex. Talk about distracting. While, certainly, sex sells, BLOODLUST is just overdoing it.
