BEAUTY FOR ASHES by Dorothy Clark

Justin Randolph had been burned by women—not once, but twice. Now, left with guardianship of two small children which are not his own, he wants a marriage of convenience. A woman who will protect him from greedy women prowling the streets of Philadelphia and be a mother for his children.

Elizabeth Frazier is desperate to escape the revolting man she has been promised to. Running away from home, she is searching for a way out of the city when she is mistaken for Justin’s bride-to-be. Recognizing that this marriage of convenience is a way of escape, Elizabeth agrees to the terms of the arrangement.

Justin doesn’t trust Elizabeth, especially when she collapses on the eve of their wedding and the doctor suggests she might be with child. And Elizabeth is terrified of Justin. Is there any hope that these two might find love in the ashes of their lives? Could God have His hand in this arrangement all along?

BEAUTY FOR ASHES is an adorable sweet romance, which is incredibly well-written. Dorothy Clark is a very talented author, gifted with the ability to make her characters come to life, and draw the reader into the story. Even though historicals are not my favorite genre, I was instantly entranced by BEAUTY FOR ASHES and could not put this book down.

I can’t say enough words of praise for BEAUTY FOR ASHES. I hope to see a lot more books from this talented author. Pick up a copy of BEAUTY FOR ASHES today. You will not be disappointed.
