UNDER THE DUVET is a collection of Marian Keyes’ short stories, some previously published and some never before published pieces. You will learn about her life in Ireland and England.
Some of the stories rang true. Ms. Keyes wrote that she loves to write in her bedroom, on the bed, with a pillow under the keyboard, and eating bananas. I write in the same position, pillow and everything, except eating M&Ms. Ms. Keyes also writes about her experiences as a cosmetic reviewer, and how she looked forward to getting packages in the mail. I feel the same way about being a book reviewer. It was fun reading the humorous stories and laughing, and seeing how many hit close to home.
There are titles like Imeldas, and How to Spot Them, Botox and Other Miracles, Till Debt Us Do Part, Bah! Givvus a Humbug, Sackcloth, Ashes . . . and the Gym, Have you the Green Food Coloring? Just to mention a few of the entertaining stories in store for you.
If you are looking for a light, fun read, UNDER THE DUVET is the book for you. It’s easy to tuck into your tote or purse to read if you have a short wait somewhere, and none of the stories are long. As a bonus, there is a sneak preview of Ms. Keyes’ soon-to-be-released novel, The Other Side of the Story, included. Pick it up today. $12.95, 286 pages.
