Sassy Ruby Taylor is back in the detective business, this time with her mom, brother and some university co-workers involved. Her attraction to hunky police officer, Wesley, tests Ruby’s resolve to remain ‘Christ like’ in her dating since she gave her life to Lord. Ruby’s never taken that sort of advice before, why would she start now? And, so is the beginning of this enjoyable story.
Ruby takes a teaching job at the university – to replace a professor who, it seems, has committed suicide. Ruby begins to unravel the twisted mystery, when she discovers certain things in her office. With the help of the dead man's son, and reluctant widow, Ruby’s able to follow a trail that not only envelopes his death but a whole lot more. In a manner that would make Sherlock Holms sit up and take notice, Ruby begins to learn the truth. To her dismay some of the truth involves those close to her and she doesn’t like what it might do to fragile relationships.
Ruby Taylor is an awesome character. I love the unconventional manner in which she conducts herself, she’s real. And, she struggles with life choices – like we all do. Her relationships with her mom and brother are strained yet warm. She loves Wesley but wants to behave like a lady, worthy of the title, Christian. Besides delightful characters the plot turn and twists as bits of evidence are introduced leaving the reader wondering what on earth that particular thing has to do with the mystery? When the truth is out, the reader is completely satisfied.
I highly recommend Sassy Cinderella the Valiant Vigilante, especially if you like mystery, intriguing characters, or a riveting plot.

When a professor at the local university dies, Ruby Taylor is hired to take his place. She soon finds out that working at the university is not all she dreamed it would be. Was Dr. Aldridge’s death really suicide as everyone suspects?
Soon after Ruby starts her new job, her long-lost brother shows up in the wee hours of the morning. At first, Ruby and her mother are convinced it is a prowler and call the police. The policeman who responds is none other than Wesley—Ruby’s long-time love interest.
Soon it becomes apparent that things aren’t as they seem on the surface. Who is the man who showed up on Ruby’s doorstep? Is it really her brother? Who is the person hanging out around Ruby’s office late at night – and breaks in when she was away from her desk?
What are they looking for?
SASSY CINDERELLA AND THE VALIANT VIGILANTE is an exciting page turning mystery. Readers will want to read the first book in the series Romance Rustlers and Thunderbird Thieves first as this book refers back to some of the previous events.
Ruby is an adorably sassy heroine, and I hoped that she would be able to at least earn a date with her hero. Sort of a chick lit type of mystery, the reader is instantly drawn into the story. I am usually able to figure out who the perpetrator is pretty easily, but SASSY CINDERELLA kept me guessing until the end. Pick up SASSY CINDERELLA AND THE VALIANT VIGILANTE today for a satisfying read.
