Meet Aurora. She is an aspect
working for
Immortality Inc. She is Fate. It is her job to decide what should
happen and
how it will play out. Fate and her many colleagues, some of whom are
Death,
Desire, and Chaos, work for Time, also known as sexy, Nic Avalon.
Aurora has a hard enough time
getting
along with Nic when things are going as planned, and now that Fate has
caused a
rift in what is supposed to be happening, she and Nic are about to go
head to
head to try to fix what has gone wrong.
Aurora takes her job as Fate
seriously.
She stopped a fatal accident from taking place, unknowingly stopping a
death
that should have taken place. Now that she thrown everything off kilter
in the
timeline, she has to try to prove to her boss, Time, aka Nic, that she
didn’t
ruin the future for those involved. The only problem with her teaming
up with
Nic is that she can’t stop herself from acting on her intense feelings
of
attraction and desire for him. Is it because two of her associates
Chaos and
Love have interfered or is it because she and Nic are meant to be
together? Can
she set right what seems to be going wrong or is her job as Fate over?
Will she
and Nic have a future?
Nic is in
charge of everything that happens in the world because he is Time,
itself. He
can stop or start any action that he chooses. He knows that Aurora has committed a serious
offense by
intervening with Death’s wishes. However, he wants to let her prove
that it
hasn’t hindered the course of the future. The only problem is that the
more
time that he spends with her, the more he wants her. He chalks it up to
the
meddling ways of Chaos and Love. Soon enough though, it is evident that
his
feelings for Aurora are meant to be. Fate
has a way of
working things out…
ONLY FOR
THIS TIME is a beautiful, if somewhat sad love story. The idea that all
things
in life could be managed by a group of meddling individual’s make this
story
interesting, to say the least. Moreover, if these individuals are
susceptible
to the thoughts, feelings and emotions that the mere mortals are, then
the plot
thickens. Aurora and Nic are a passionate couple that seems meant to be
together from the very beginning. Their desire for each other isn’t
something
that can be denied or stopped, no matter how Time tries to spin things.
Ms.
Warren does a fantastic job penning a story that reminds me a great
deal of
Greek Mythology, the twists and turns make for a very exciting read.
The
passion that Time and Fate share, adds the spice and the heat.
Altogether, it
is a great story that shows that everyone falls prey to Love, no matter
who
they are.
