Button Creek is a small Texas town with some pretty big secrets. Zara is the new waitress at the diner, but she’s not what she seems. Zara’s a visitor from another planet with a mission to find Robert Lotello, mate, become pregnant and return home. It seems the men from her planet can’t get the job done so the women have to travel to other Earth and mate in order to repopulate. Things in Button Creek affect Zara very differently and unusual things start to happen when she’s around. The locals are mesmerized by her and she’s not sure what to make of them either…especially Daniel Murphy. She’s not supposed to be attracted to anyone but Robert Lotello, but every time she gets near Daniel, she gets warm all over.
Daniel Murphy is a man with a big secret. He fathered a child with his graduate assistant and after her death, he was forced to kidnap his son, Will, from her overbearing parents. Everything about Daniel and Will is a mystery including their true identities. Daniel loves his quite peaceful life in Button Creek. That is, until Zara shows up. Daniel is smitten with her at first sight, but he struggles with getting involved with someone when he has secrets.
The attraction between Zara and Daniel is undeniable and when they get close the air practically sizzles. How long can they hold out before giving into the inevitable? The residents of Button Creek are hilarious and real. Will, Lucy, Jay, Tomas, and the rest are all great secondary characters to Zara and Daniel.
WANTED: ONE PERFECT MAN is funny and touching and it proves that love knows no boundaries…even outer space. It’s a well written, fast-paced romance, that keeps the reader guessing and the ending was a surprise. Author Judi McCoy gives the reader real characters, hot sex and a story that will touch your heart. This reader thoroughly enjoyed this story and I think you will too. Ms. McCoy also gives us a peek of the next book in the series in the Epilogue.
