The anthology begins
with “The Lady and the Tiger” by Christina Dodd. Beautiful but bereaved
Laura Haver masquerades as wife of the rakish Keefe Leighton, Earl of
Hamilton, hoping to expose him as the diabolical smuggler who murdered
her brother. Keefe, when he realizes this tempting bit of pretext, takes
Laura on a sensual journey of discovery and revelation.
Filled with
mischief, romance and suspense, this Dodd tale is a charming and yet
sensual. Characterizations are full and the pace never slows down, not
even in the bedroom!
“Melting Ice” by
Stephanie Laurens has the fiery Lady Fiona unsuspectingly arriving at a
scandalous party where her childhood friend Dyan, the Duke of Darke,
comes to her rescue. The fire that ever shimmered between them, once
again flares into life and Dyan then introduces the naïve Fiona to some
highly passionate bedroom games.

intense passion, friendship and romance. Sizzling hot passion make this
story a blistering read.
Celeste Bradley’s

wrong twin who isn’t as biddable as her sister. His attempts to control
his new wife leads to Kitty dreaming up creative and humorous ways to
thwart him, even as his kisses melt away her resistance.
In a sparkling tale
which has shades of ‘Taming the Shrew’, a pair of newlyweds go
head-to-head an entertaining tale of deception and romance which is a
sheer delight to read. The story is vibrant, the characters engaging and
the budding romance is sure to bring a sigh of satisfaction to the
readers’ lips. Spirited and rousing, this tale is pure lighthearted
fun.
In “The Proposition”
by Leslie LaFoy, Rennick St.James, the Earl of Parnell desperately tries
to convey the sincerity of his feelings to the beautiful widow Julia
Hamilton in the few days he has before she again marries the wrong man.
But Julia isn’t willing to give her heart to a confirmed rake like
Rennick, while he tries his utmost to woo her in his bed.
Leslie LaFoy has
crafted a tale of love and lust which is as suspenseful as it is
seductive. The well-developed characters, the poignant history they
share and the mutual sexual tension which scorches the pages all combine
to make this an unforgettable story indeed.
This sexy and
provocative collection features romantic historical stories by some of
the most popular authors of today’s times. Given that each story is on
average just 70-75 pages long, the range of emotions expressed in those
few pages is surprisingly in-depth. The stories are all historical in
era and the romance, passion, pathos and humor contained within are
brought vividly to life by the various authors in their own signature
way. In all, sexy, fast-paced, and outright charming, this book is a
truly tempting read.
