The new earl of Culberry was a cruel man. He cared nothing for the villagers, just for his own gains. After taking over the lands on his uncle’s passing he demanded that the villagers must now give him 75% of their crops and they were no longer allowed to hunt on his land. Anyone who spoke out against him would face his wrath.
Was there no one who would help these people from this man? Reena had heard of this great warrior The Legend since she was a child. He was fearless and all feared him. Surely he would come to help them only she didn’t know where to find him. She needed a plan to get him to come, and after much thought she realized she could offer her services to him in return for his help. She sets out to find this warrior with only her offer and hope that he will accept it.
Luck was on her side for she did find Thomas, the loyal friend of the Legend, and he takes her to Magnus. The Warrior is not at all what Reena had pictured
-- the man is handsome beyond words and compassionate to her plea for her village. He finds this young woman who is more like a boy in size not only brave but she has more courage than he had seen in many men .He is touched by her offer and agrees to employ her services in return fore his help. The woman is talented in her skill as a mapmaker and indeed she is extremely useful; he finds he is intrigued by her. He has never felt this way about a woman before and she has captured the man, yet does she really know the true man or just want she sees before her? Will she tremble in fear when she knows the true Magnus?
Reena only knows that she feels such emotions when he is with her and she finds that she possibly is falling in love with him. Stolen kisses and warm embraces are soon not enough to ease the ache in her heart and she needs more. He too finds that he wants her more than he’s ever wanted anyone in her life.
This is a story of romance and love that has not just a hero but a strong and determined heroine as well. Readers will find that Reena is truly a perfect match for Magnus and in spite of the mystery that seems to hold these two from joining their passions, ultimately they realize their passions can never be held back and together there love will conquer not only the past but will pave the way for their future. An interesting touch is the romance that seems to be forming between not only the two secondary characters but the fact that they also seem to bring in their own way Reena and Magnus together.
A great love story. Romance at it's best.
