In
Southern Louisiana
Charmaine LeDeux, former beauty queen and owner of two beauty parlors,
owes the
Mafia a lot of money. She knew she never
should have borrowed money from them and now she wishes she had of
listened to
herself. And just when Charmaine thinks
things can’t get any worse, her first husband Raoul “Rusty” Lanier
comes
strolling back into her life, claiming that they never divorced. Charmaine isn’t sure what the heck to do but
when she learns that Rusty’s deceased father left her half of his
ranch, she is
sure that a rundown ranch is the last place the Mafia would come
looking for
her. Determined to hideout until she can come up with the money and not
get
herself killed, Charmaine moves onto the ranch with Rusty and fights
the
temptation he represents. She vows that
she won’t fall for his sexy swagger or his gorgeous grin, and since she
is a
born again virgin, she’s sure she can keep her vow.
But The
Cajun Cowboy proves more temptation that even Charmaine LeDeux can
resist!
Rusty,
a former convict who
was framed, never got over his wife Charmaine, but he’ll be darned if
he’ll let
her know it. They parted ways, none too
pleasantly, but it doesn’t stop their bodies from shooting sparks of
one
another when she moves into the Triple L Ranch that they both own. For
two
years Rusty was behind bars and a lot of questions need answering now
that he
is out. For instance, how did his father
die? He lost his vet license when he was
convicted, is there hope to regain his status?
And why did the divorce he thought had happened
between him and
Charmaine never happen?
Charmaine and Rusty have
a lot to work out and are hell bent not to
repeat the mistakes of the past, such as rekindling the flame that
still burns
hot between them. Can The
Cajun Cowboy resist the sexy
Charmaine LeDeux?
Grab the Kleenex because
Tante Lulu and Sandra Hill are back!! No,
you won’t need the Kleenex for tears of
sadness, but you will need them for the tears of laughter rolling down
your
cheeks as Ms. Hill’s Cajun Bad Boy Series
continues with Charmaine LeDeux and her husband, Raoul “Rusty” Lanier
in The Cajun Cowboy. What’s
that?
You all thought Charmaine was a four time divorcee? Yes, well so did I, but it’s a proven fact,
Rusty and Charmaine NEVER got divorced, so Charmaine isn’t even a first
time
divorcee and do the sparks fly off these two!!
Charmaine and Rusty are
absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed their
story as much as previous
tales in this series and can’t wait for more.
The LeDeux family is back and so is Tante Lulu, the
old bird who keeps
Cajun country and her family, on their toes.
With recurring characters and the ranch hands who
try their hand at
matchmaking between Rusty and Charmaine, make The Cajun
Cowboy a highly entertaining tale with laughter,
family bonds, a bit of danger and sexual tension that is hotter than
the Louisiana heat!
Sandra Hill is always a
much anticipated author to read, for me and many
others. While some would think that the
same Cajun family antics would get old, I find that each tale she
writes is
exactly what I need at the end of a long and hard day.
For laughter, love, hilarious antics but with
serious mystery thrown in, The Cajun
Cowboy is another story from Sandra Hill to add to the long
list of
must reads by this author. I can’t wait
for the next Cajun story and heat from this author...in the form of The Red-Hot Cajun, due out in
October 2004. I wait with eagerness for
more of the Cajun Bad Boys.
