This terrific story by McCarthy might remind fans of a Hollywood movie with a similar title. This novella is about two FBI agents – CJ White and Wyatt Maddock – who discover passion with each other. The premise is that CJ wears baggy clothes and hides what just might be a sexy body that Wyatt is just dying to find out. This story is a sensual treat, filled to the brim with exciting passion and the familiar sense of humor McCarthy adds to her stories.
Last Call – Morgan Leigh
While at the Last Call bar he co-owns, Fletcher Graham is captivated by the sound of a new singer’s voice. What is it about Tess Braeden that arouses Fletcher so much? Tess is attracted beyond belief to Fletcher. Her new boss, Coop, vouches for him, so Tess agrees to spend time with Fletcher. Fletcher, however, has a secret. When Tess discovers this secret, the bond developed between the two of them is nearly broken. Last Call hits a hard emotional punch. Fletcher has emotional baggage while Tess’s future is on the line. This is a story you won’t want to miss.
All three novellas in Bad Boys in Black Tie are wonderful. Each story is sexy, while capturing a strong emotional edge that makes the stories warm and believable. For a pleasurable few hours of reading time, be sure to pick up this fantastic anthology.
