THE ATTRACTION FACTOR by Cathy McDavid

Julie can’t believe it! She has to do Marc Johnson’s taxes. He was her high school literature teacher and she had a monstrous crush on him. Now she has to do the taxes for his bookstore. The instant they meet again, sparks fly between them. Yet, he refuses to see her as the adult that she has become. Based on a quiz that she took, their attraction factor is perfect, so how can she convince him to give them a chance?

Marc can’t believe that flighty Julie is his accountant! She barely made the grades in high school, how is she qualified to handle his taxes? He can’t accept the fact that she might be good for his business, and moreover, she might be good for him. He is completely sexually attracted to her and the more time he spends with her, the more he wants her. So how can he keep her out of his business and out of his personal life, when they seem so right together?  How can they be together when things never go right between the two of them? Yet, the more that he tries to convince her that they are all wrong for each other, the more right they seem to be.

The ATTRACTION FACTOR is an amusing read. It poses the question, is there really an ATTRACTION FACTOR in every relationship? At the beginning of every chapter, there is a question from the quiz. It grabs the reader’s attention, while preparing them for what lies ahead. Furthermore, the question arises, if Julie and Marc’s ATTRACTION FACTOR is so high, why can’t they get things straightened out between them? Everything that could go wrong in their relationship does, but in spite of all the mishaps, they seem meant to be together, and their attraction to each other, overshadows all of the other elements. It is a sweet romantic comedy that touches on some serious issues while adding humor and comedy to the love story.
